In this Acting and Theatre Intensive class, students will study various acting techniques and learn how to find their objective in a scene, what beats are and how to find them, what character thoughts are and how to choose them and use them, what their intention is, what the overall arc of the scene is, and much, much more.  We will also focus on Improv and acting games that will help break the ice and encourage each student to think outside the box and expand their comfort zone while having a ton of fun. Students will also study aspects of set design, costume design, prop design and development, and learn what it takes to create a production from the ground up. The class will culminate in a final performance for family and friends on a separate performance day. Each student will have a speaking role and have the opportunity to put all of the techniques they learned in class into action while performing their role in our play!! Above all else we will have a ton of fun and lots of laughter each week!! We look forward to you joining us for an amazing semester of fun, friends, and theatre!!

This intensive is 5 hours long with a breaks for lunch and recess. So please make sure you send your student with enough sustenance to get through the day. And please make sure you provide your student with a large water bottle. Acting is thirsty work! Also comfortable clothing they can move in is an absolute must! (PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE A NUT FREE FACILITY!)
